I had a speaking engagement this morning in Clermont, Florida at the Solutions Networking weekly meeting with a handful of business owners, medical professionals, and city officials from this area.
I spoke on the difference between service versus helping and how helping can lead to more problems, especially when you assume you know what’s best for your client or you are being codependent with then.
However, when we are in service to our clients we have a totally different outcome. One of the ways I approach being in service to my clients and the people around me is to speak with direct communication.
Direct communication is heart-to-heart conversations, while being brutally honest with them. I used to get myself into sticky water by assuming I knew what it was best for people I don’t do that anymore.
I can hardly wait to come back. This was such a great group to serve today!
